Linthicum’s ascent follows a career entirely anchored at Langan, where he began as a staff engineer before rising to managing principal. Throughout his tenure, he has directed the firm’s technology strategy, including its integration of artificial intelligence and digital solutions. Beyond his technical oversight, he spearheaded the firm’s expansion into the federal market, managing projects for nearly 200 U.S. embassies and consulates through the State Department’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.
His leadership history includes establishing regional offices in Washington, D.C., Arlington, and Richmond. As he prepares to become the third CEO in the firm’s history, Linthicum inherits a consultancy that now employs 2,500 professionals across 60 global locations. Gockel, who oversaw the transition process, cited Linthicum’s integrity and deep institutional knowledge as the primary drivers behind his selection to lead the company’s ongoing national growth.
