Appian’s Susan Charnaux Named to 2026 Women in Leadership List

Charnaux joined the Appian executive team with over two decades of experience in professional services. In her current role, she manages the company’s talent acquisition, human resources, and learning initiatives, focusing specifically on preparing the workforce for an AI-integrated environment. Her efforts center on strengthening onboarding processes and fostering a culture that encourages employees to take ownership of their professional growth.

Richard Foster, associate publisher and editor of Virginia Business, described the honorees as trailblazers who contribute significantly to both their organizations and their local communities. Charnaux credited the strength of the Commonwealth’s talent pool for supporting Appian’s ongoing business expansion. The full list of 2026 recipients is featured in the magazine’s October issue, and the group will be celebrated at an awards banquet held at the Science Museum of Virginia’s Dewey Gottwald Center in Richmond on October 6.
