The new email intake feature addresses a primary bottleneck in the order-to-cash process: the labor-intensive task of extracting dimensions, board types, and quantities from unstructured inbound emails. Once the AI parses a request, it drafts spec lines for the estimator to review. Each extracted value includes a confidence score, and the system highlights missing information, ensuring staff retain final decision-making authority.
This functionality integrates directly with the existing Amtech ecosystem, including the EnCore ERP system. Information from won quotes flows back into the system automatically, eliminating the need for redundant manual data entry. Danna Nelson, SVP of Products at Amtech, noted that the development responds to demands from their AI Council for measurable improvements in productivity and revenue. The company plans to showcase further agentic AI applications for its software portfolio at an upcoming user conference in Nashville, scheduled for October 11–14.
