Systemair to close Dutch manufacturing plant in 2027

The restructuring plan, currently under consultation with employee representatives, carries a one-time cost of 115 million SEK, covering severance and asset impairments. CEO Robert Larsson described the move as a difficult but necessary step to optimize the company's production footprint. Once the transition concludes, Systemair expects to realize annual cost savings of 35 million SEK.

While the factory doors will close, the group intends to retain a local presence through its technical support, logistics, and product development teams. A future sale of the Waalwijk real estate is projected to yield a capital gain of roughly 40 million SEK, helping to offset the initial costs of the consolidation. This decision aligns with the group's broader strategy to boost capacity utilization across its European network.
