By combining Echion’s proprietary material with ETS’s expertise in cell assembly and equipment design, the firms intend to streamline the pathway for OEMs looking to adopt next-generation battery chemistry.
ETS CEO Y.H. Kim noted that the collaboration addresses the growing demand for durable, high-performance power solutions in saturated energy markets. The technology targets demanding industrial applications, with performance benchmarks reaching up to 50,000 cycles and 10C charge rates. Echion CEO Jean de La Verpilliere emphasized that this alliance bridges the gap between scientific R&D and process engineering, providing clients with a turnkey solution for producing their own specialized battery cells.
