Morpheus and Secret Network Launch Confidential AI Infrastructure

In an effort to curb data exposure during AI processing, Morpheus and Secret Network have launched a joint infrastructure utilizing Trusted Execution Environments. The partnership allows developers to perform AI inference in decentralized environments while ensuring that neither node operators nor third parties can access sensitive user data.

Morpheus and Secret Network Launch Confidential AI Infrastructure

AI inference—the critical stage where models process inputs to generate results—currently acts as a major vulnerability in decentralized networks. When compute tasks are distributed across various nodes, proprietary data and model interactions often become visible to host providers. By integrating Secret Network’s privacy-preserving technology into the Morpheus marketplace, the companies aim to shield this layer from unauthorized access.

Secret Network maintains encryption for data at rest, in transit, and during computation. Within the new Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), inputs remain inaccessible to anyone outside the secure environment. David Johnston of Morpheus emphasized that this integration is designed to bring enterprise-grade security to decentralized AI, allowing users to leverage distributed compute without compromising privacy. Luke B, COO at the Secret Network Foundation, noted that as inference becomes the primary mode of AI interaction, securing this specific layer is a prerequisite for broader industry adoption in finance, healthcare, and enterprise software.
