The new blend relies on the structure of Ugni Blanc, which makes up the bulk of the composition, while Colombard provides fruit-forward notes and Folle Blanche adds a layer of finesse. To achieve its profile, the eaux-de-vie are aged for at least six years in 350-litre seasoned oak casks. The maturation takes place in cellars near the Charente River, a process overseen by Cellar Master Charles Braastad to ensure a slow, steady development.
On the nose, the spirit offers scents of vine blossoms and white flowers, transitioning into orchard fruits with hints of bergamot and lemon zest. The palate follows with verbena and lime, resulting in a refined, precise finish. The release draws its name and inspiration from the 1930s natural history collection by Jacques Delamain, underscoring the family's long-standing obsession with the living world. Folio Natura is now available through the Delamain e-shop and select wine merchants for 65€.
