GPN Vaccines to Showcase Serotype-Independent Platform in Europe

At the International Society for Vaccines Annual Congress in Antwerp and the World Vaccine Congress Europe in Amsterdam, the company will present evidence that its platform generates broad protection by targeting protein antigens common to multiple bacterial strains. This approach aims to eliminate the cycle of constant vaccine reformulation as new bacterial serotypes emerge.

The company’s lead candidate, Gamma-PN, has completed four clinical studies showing strong safety and immunogenicity profiles. Data from these trials confirm that vaccine-induced antibodies persist for at least 12 months and effectively neutralize various pneumococcal strains in laboratory assays. With these results in hand, GPN is currently preparing to transition the program into a multinational Phase 2 trial.

Simultaneously, the firm is expanding its reach into veterinary health with Gamma-SU, a vaccine candidate targeting Streptococcus suis in pigs. Early research indicates that this candidate successfully triggers functional antibodies capable of killing multiple serotypes, suggesting that the platform’s underlying technology is viable for diverse bacterial pathogens.
