NetShort’s current strategy relies on a feedback loop where audience data informs creative decisions, from character arcs to pacing. CFO Stephen Liu notes that this approach is designed to amplify, not replace, human judgment. The company’s proprietary AI platform, currently used internally for story development and visual production, is slated for release to external creative partners in the coming months.
Beyond production, NetShort is diversifying its monetization and distribution tactics. Rather than applying a uniform global template, the platform uses localized marketing and flexible monetization—ranging from in-app purchases to advertising—to suit regional preferences. With North America currently serving as its primary market, the company is now prioritizing deeper engagement across Europe, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. The goal is to move beyond mere distribution, seeking collaborative partnerships to adapt existing intellectual property and produce original dramas that bridge cultural borders.
