Bali to Host New Asia Forum Aiming for US$30 Billion in Investment

With the global economic center of gravity shifting toward the Pacific, Indonesia is launching the New Asia Forum this December in Bali. Under the patronage of President Prabowo Subianto, the inaugural event seeks to bridge the gap between regional growth and long-term capital, targeting US$30 billion in new investment commitments.

Powered by Danantara Indonesia, the nation's sovereign fund, and produced by Richard Attias & Associates, the forum moves beyond traditional conference rhetoric to prioritize transaction readiness and capital deployment. While the Asia-Pacific region currently generates nearly 60% of global economic growth, it remains under-represented in the allocation of long-term international capital. The forum intends to correct this imbalance by connecting policymakers with investors across eight strategic sectors, ranging from digital infrastructure and AI to energy and food security.

Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Investment and CEO of Danantara Indonesia, emphasized that the initiative reflects Indonesia’s growing confidence and ambition on the world stage. Richard Attias noted that the region is transitioning from a passive destination for global capital to an active force that dictates its own economic impact. The invitation-only gathering will host over 1,000 leaders and 100 speakers, establishing an ongoing platform designed to track the execution and progress of investment deals long after the event concludes.
