The company’s latest hardware targets high-speed chiller and compressor manufacturers who face pressure to boost cooling capacity while minimizing maintenance and system complexity. By utilizing oil-free drive solutions, SKF claims energy efficiency improvements of 30 to 40 percent over conventional setups. The MBx series features a modular design intended for semi-automated production, a move designed to shorten lead times and scale capacity for the fast-growing data center market.
Beyond magnetic bearings, the firm will display its CeraDrive hybrid ceramic bearings and the Extreme super-precision platform. These components are engineered for extreme operational environments, supporting speeds reaching 120,000 rpm and turbine-side temperatures up to 200°C. According to Thomas Grubbauer, Global Fluid Machinery Industry Manager, these technologies provide a path for customers to develop more reliable high-speed systems for heat pumps and digital infrastructure. SKF will host these demonstrations at booth 1-510 from October 13 to 15, 2026.
