Alex Tyler Named 2026 Franchisee of the Year by IFA

Operating six Goldfish Swim School locations, Tyler has transformed his professional focus from competitive swimming to child water safety since 2013. Beyond the pool, he oversees a team of 200 employees while managing long-term philanthropic efforts, including a scholarship foundation for students in Gales Point, Belize.

IFA President and CEO Matt Haller noted that the award highlights individuals who balance commercial growth with community impact. Tyler’s work in Belize, which includes annual fundraisers raising up to $20,000, serves as a cornerstone of his leadership philosophy. Goldfish Swim School co-founder Chris McCuiston praised Tyler’s ability to maintain high operational standards while scaling the business, citing his tenure as a model for the franchise network.
