Participants began their journey at the Segway Powersports manufacturing facility in Changzhou. The group toured assembly lines, quality control stations, and vehicle testing bays to observe the lifecycle of their ATVs and side-by-side vehicles. This technical introduction aimed to provide a comprehensive look at the engineering standards and traceability practices employed during production.
The experience shifted from the factory floor to the demanding landscapes of Keping County in Aksu. Navigating desert dunes, gravel tracks, and water crossings, the guests tested the power delivery and handling of the latest models. This direct transition from production observation to real-world performance allowed the group to evaluate how engineering choices translate into vehicle capability.
Beyond the driving experience, the event facilitated a direct dialogue between the international guests and Segway’s R&D, marketing, and after-sales teams. Ethan Zhang, Vice President of Marketing & Sales, noted that these sessions were designed to harmonize product development with the specific demands of riders in diverse global markets. The company intends to replicate this model in other regions to refine its future vehicle iterations.
