Segroves arrives from Nirvana Insurance, where he served as Senior Director and Actuary overseeing analytics. His background includes a significant three-year tenure at VoyageWorks as Senior Director of Data Science, a role centered on building machine learning frameworks to boost commercial auto profitability. Prior to that, he spent over 14 years at Travelers, refining his expertise in territory modeling and research and development.

At Corgi, an AI-native carrier targeting high-growth firms, Segroves intends to bridge the gap between traditional insurance expertise and modern technological infrastructure. He views the integration of proprietary underwriting data as the primary lever for the company's expansion. "Corgi has an opportunity to bring together deep insurance expertise, data, and technology in a fundamentally different way," Segroves stated regarding his move to the Atlanta-based firm.
