Developed in partnership with Mevion Medical System and powered by RaySearch Laboratories' RayStation, the setup enables clinicians to perform imaging, planning, and treatment using a single reference point.
Beyond technical integration, the system is designed to improve the patient experience. Many individuals struggle to lie flat due to pain, anxiety, or respiratory issues; the upright orientation provides a more natural posture and allows for direct eye contact with the clinical team. CEO Stephen Towe stated that this milestone proves the technology is no longer a concept but a functional tool. Research suggests this method may also improve anatomical consistency and reduce organ motion. Looking ahead, the company is developing a dedicated fixed-beam photon platform to further streamline how radiotherapy is delivered globally.
