The exhibit centers on the KANGA Poucher, which will operate throughout the event to demonstrate how standardized platforms can maintain flexibility for varying product requirements. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the process by packaging their own multitools. Beyond the KANGA, the company will showcase its broader portfolio, including QuickPouch systems and the SureVac leak-testing unit, which identifies integrity failures in medical devices and sealed packaging.
Central to RND’s approach is the High-Risk Test Bench, a research environment where engineers simulate challenging variables—such as robotics, motion control, and gripping—under realistic conditions. By isolating these elements early, the team aims to identify potential technical hurdles before they reach the factory floor. This test platform incorporates components from industry partners including FANUC, Doosan Robotics, and B&R Industrial Automation.
Brantley Turner, General Manager at RND Automation, noted that the company prioritizes starting with proven platforms that can be configured to fit specific production needs. This strategy extends to large-scale robotics, with a FANUC M-710 industrial robot on display to illustrate how the firm integrates product handling and inspection into comprehensive manufacturing lines.
