York Space Systems Faces Securities Fraud Lawsuit Over Satellite Failures

Investors in York Space Systems have until October 30, 2026, to file for lead plaintiff status in a federal securities class action. The lawsuit, currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, targets alleged misrepresentations regarding the company’s satellite software and critical defense contracts.

The legal action centers on the period between January 29 and May 11, 2026, encompassing the company's initial public offering. Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, the firm representing the class, claims that York Space Systems misled shareholders by concealing persistent software deficiencies that compromised satellite functionality. These omissions reportedly placed the company's multi-hundred-million-dollar contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense's Space Development Agency at significant risk.

According to the complaint, the company's onboard mission and payload software were not fully operational at the time of launch, directly contradicting statements made in prospectus documents and public disclosures. Reed Kathrein, a partner at Hagens Berman, is spearheading the investigation into when senior leadership became aware of these technical failures. Shareholders who suffered substantial losses are encouraged to contact the firm, while individuals with non-public information are being invited to assist in the investigation through the SEC whistleblower program.
