Greene County to Host Americana 250 Cycling Classic in October

The event features four distinct routes tailored to varying skill levels, ranging from the 10-mile family-friendly Liberty Ride to a 64-mile metric century Patriot Tour. All paths originate and terminate at the fairgrounds in Xenia, utilizing the county’s extensive trail infrastructure to connect local communities. Beyond the competitive aspects of the ride, the site will host the Heritage Hub, a free public festival featuring food trucks, vendor displays, and a dedicated bike course for children.

Tom Kelley, President and CEO of the United Way of the Greater Dayton Area, expects the day to serve as a signature regional gathering that bolsters community resiliency. Proceeds are earmarked for initiatives spanning Montgomery, Greene, and Preble counties, focusing on financial security, health, and youth opportunity. Registration remains open for riders, while local businesses can still secure sponsorship packages or vendor spaces to participate in the inaugural celebration.
