Edward Jones Marks Decade of Alzheimer's Advocacy and Research Funding

On World Alzheimer’s Day, Edward Jones is reflecting on an eleven-year partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, a collaboration that has funneled over $63 million into disease research and caregiver support. As the number of Americans living with the condition climbs, the firm is doubling down on efforts to mitigate its impact.

Edward Jones Marks Decade of Alzheimer's Advocacy and Research Funding

Since 2016, Edward Jones has served as the national presenting sponsor for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, helping to mobilize resources for a disease that currently affects seven million Americans. With projections suggesting that figure could nearly double by 2050, the firm’s commitment has evolved beyond simple fundraising. Nearly $12 million of the total contributions have been earmarked specifically for scientific studies, including the U.S. POINTER trial and clinical work at Washington University School of Medicine.

Beyond research, the alliance addresses the immediate socioeconomic strain on families. With unpaid dementia care valued at hundreds of billions annually, Edward Jones has integrated advocacy for caregiver-focused policies and provided clients with access to financial safety tools like Carefull to prevent fraud. The firm’s Diamond National Team has already surpassed $2 million in fundraising for the current year, maintaining momentum toward an annual goal of $3.75 million as they look toward their extended commitment through 2030.
