SLIPNOT Launches Sweep Flooring for Dry Processing Facilities

The new product aims to eliminate the sanitation hazards associated with standard non-slip options in sectors like pharmaceutical manufacturing, baking, and dairy powder processing. Traditional materials often rely on raised beads or grooves that harbor organic dust and fine powders, creating risks for contamination. According to Quinn Poor, manager of engineering and product development at SLIPNOT, the company addressed this by filling in microscopic surface valleys while keeping millions of tool-steel hard peaks exposed to maintain grip.

Beyond sanitation, the flooring is built for heavy industrial environments. It features a stainless steel substrate that resists delamination and peeling, avoiding the particle shedding common with grit-based coatings. The surface is NFSI high-traction certified, with in-house testing showing a wet DCOF of 0.88 and a dry DCOF of 0.71. By allowing for full-seam welding during installation, the product prevents bacterial growth in gaps, a critical requirement for food safety audits. For plant operators, the shift from temporary solutions like tapes or paints to this durable, American-made flooring is intended to reduce long-term maintenance costs and increase production uptime by streamlining sanitation workflows.
