Persistent Systems Secures Databricks BFSI Specialization

The specialization recognizes Persistent’s technical proficiency in utilizing the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform—specifically Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Mosaic AI—to navigate the stringent security requirements of the financial sector. By leveraging these tools, the firm aims to assist institutions in transitioning from reactive fraud controls to predictive, agentic AI workflows. The collaboration has already seen implementation at major financial entities, including a leading European bank that modernized its risk data infrastructure and a major Japanese financial services firm that optimized cloud costs through a new governance framework.

Barath Narayanan, Global BFSI and Europe Geo Head at Persistent, noted that the core challenge remains the integration of data silos formed by decades of legacy architectural decisions. With over 1,000 certifications and 10 proprietary accelerators on the platform, Persistent functions as a Silver Tier Global Systems Integrator. Josh Meyer, Global Head of Brickbuilder at Databricks, highlighted that this designation reflects the firm’s ability to pair deep domain expertise with technical execution, ensuring that AI deployment remains both explainable and compliant with industry regulations.
