Investors Face August Deadline in Futu Holdings Securities Fraud Suit

Investors who incurred financial losses holding Futu Holdings Limited stock between May 2023 and May 2026 now have until August 25 to petition the court to act as lead plaintiff in a pending class action lawsuit filed by the law firm Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP.

Investors Face August Deadline in Futu Holdings Securities Fraud Suit

The litigation centers on allegations that Futu Holdings misled shareholders by failing to disclose critical regulatory shortcomings regarding its operations in mainland China. According to the complaint, the company continued to facilitate securities, public fund, and futures trading without securing the necessary government licenses or approvals. Plaintiffs argue this lack of compliance left the firm exposed to severe penalties, including the potential disgorgement of earnings, rendering previous financial reports and public statements materially inaccurate.

Investors wishing to challenge the company's conduct or pursue recovery for their losses must formally move the court before the upcoming deadline. While the firm Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP is organizing the action, potential class members retain the right to select their own legal counsel or remain absent from the proceedings until a class is officially certified.
