The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology granted the recognition following the factory’s implementation of rigorous energy-saving and emission-reduction protocols. Jingzhou Henglong joins the Hubei Henglong Automotive Systems Group’s Dongfang Avenue plant, which received the same honor in December 2023. Together, these facilities serve as regional benchmarks for the transition toward low-carbon industrial manufacturing.
To achieve this status, the company deployed a series of technical upgrades, including an 8MW rooftop photovoltaic power project, digital workshop retrofitting, and advanced waste heat recovery systems. These initiatives align with national mandates under the 14th Five-Year Plan for Industrial Green Development. CEO Qizhou Wu noted that the dual-factory success validates the company’s long-term sustainability strategy and provides a scalable model for its remaining subsidiaries. By emphasizing clean energy and wastewater reuse, the organization aims to bolster its contribution to China's broader carbon neutrality objectives while simultaneously improving operational efficiency across its production lines.
