Designer Bryan Duefrene opted for a cropped, angular aesthetic rather than a traditional full-flag depiction. The result features the bold, digital imagery of the flag's signature colors, anchored by the words "USA" and "FOREVER" in stark black lettering. As a Forever product, the envelope remains valid for postage regardless of future rate adjustments, maintaining its utility for mailers who prefer a patriotic touch.

The American flag has remained a consistent fixture in philatelic history, tracing its evolution through the Flag Acts of 1777, 1794, and 1818. While previous issues have leaned into traditional iconography—such as the 2020 gold-star border treatment or the 2013 eagle-and-shield design—this release marks a shift toward modern graphic interpretation.
