Jim Jordan Backs Michael Carbonara in Florida's 22nd District Race

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has thrown his support behind Florida businessman Michael Carbonara, signaling a major boost for the Republican primary contender ahead of the August 18 vote. The endorsement ties Carbonara directly to the Trump-aligned wing of the party as he seeks to flip the district.

Jordan, a key architect of the House Freedom Caucus, framed his support for Carbonara as a rejection of career politicians, emphasizing the candidate's background as an entrepreneur rather than a government insider. The congressman praised Carbonara’s commitment to the America First platform, specifically citing border security, economic affordability, and constitutional defense as the central pillars of their shared agenda. Carbonara, who has built ventures in the banking, technology, and healthcare sectors, characterized the endorsement as a validation of his focus on challenging institutional norms in Washington. The candidate has already secured a wide-ranging coalition of local and national support, including backing from Mike Huckabee’s HUCKPAC, Veterans for America First, and various municipal leaders across the district's four counties. Beyond the political endorsements, Carbonara has sought to solidify his conservative credentials by signing the U.S. Term Limits Amendment Pledge and the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge. He remains the only Republican in the field to have committed to both, positioning his campaign as a direct challenge to the status quo in the upcoming primary election.
