ATI Reports Strong Q2 2026 Growth Amid Aerospace Demand

Dallas-based ATI Inc. surpassed its high-end quarterly guidance, reporting $1.26 billion in sales for the second quarter of 2026. The 11% year-over-year revenue increase, bolstered by surging aerospace and defense contracts, prompted the manufacturer to raise its full-year outlook for earnings and free cash flow.

Net income attributable to the company climbed to $151 million, a 50% jump compared to the same period last year, while adjusted EBITDA margins expanded by 440 basis points to 22.6%. Board Chair and CEO Kimberly A. Fields attributed these gains to a strategic shift toward a more differentiated, higher-margin portfolio. The company’s backlog has reached a record $4.4 billion, signaling that demand for specialized aerospace and energy materials continues to outpace available supply.

Operational performance varied across business units. The High Performance Materials & Components segment saw sales rise 5% year-over-year, driven largely by commercial jet engine products. Meanwhile, the Advanced Alloys & Solutions segment experienced a 17% increase in sales, with defense-related revenue growing by 90% compared to the prior-year quarter. Looking ahead, management expects this momentum to persist through the second half of the year, supported by contracted pricing improvements and increased production capacity.
