The firm’s subsidiary, Bitfire Trust, maintained consistent growth throughout July, with weekly trading volumes outperforming June figures. This expansion aligns with a rapid increase in the company’s user base, which has surged to 760 active clients—a 46.5-fold increase. Furthermore, the company reports a pipeline of 1,644 prospective accounts, suggesting continued demand from high-net-worth individuals and listed entities.
CEO Livio Weng attributed the performance to a strategic shift in the company’s business model over the past year. By pivoting toward private banking-level services, Bitfire has integrated custody, asset management, and structured products into a single institutional ecosystem. As a regulated entity on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the group currently leverages its compliance status to provide deep liquidity and tailored execution for large-volume trades in a sector often characterized by volatility.
