Adient Maintains 2026 Outlook Despite Middle East Headwinds

Adient Maintains 2026 Outlook Despite Middle East Headwinds

The Plymouth-based company posted GAAP net income of $25 million for the quarter ending June 30. Despite the external pressures in the Middle East and logistical disruptions from customers and suppliers, the firm reported adjusted EBITDA of $225 million, a figure largely consistent with the same period in 2025.

Financial health remains a priority, with the company closing the quarter holding $924 million in cash and cash equivalents. Total gross debt reached approximately $2.4 billion, while net debt stood at $1.5 billion. Confidence in current cash flow generation allowed the company to repurchase $30 million in shares during the quarter, bringing total year-to-date buybacks to $55 million. President and CEO Jerome Dorlack and CFO Mark Oswald are scheduled to address these results in an investor call today.
