The Michigan authorization is a key element of the company’s push to build a compliant bridge between traditional financial systems and blockchain assets. By satisfying state requirements for handling payment instruments, Alchemy Pay gains the legal standing to offer its digital wallet and payment processing services to a broader regional market. The company’s regulatory status can be verified via the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) consumer portal.
Beyond immediate transaction capabilities, this expansion supports Alchemy Pay’s long-term pivot toward stablecoin-based settlement. The company is currently developing Alchemy Chain, a blockchain infrastructure intended to integrate stablecoins into enterprise and AI-driven economic systems. This technological roadmap relies heavily on maintaining a patchwork of regional licenses to ensure that payment flows remain compliant across various jurisdictions.
This latest milestone follows a string of international regulatory successes for the firm, including registrations in Australia, South Korea, and Switzerland, as well as a strategic investment in the Hong Kong-based HTF Securities Limited. Alchemy Pay currently holds licenses in 18 other states, including Illinois, Arizona, and Rhode Island, with additional applications pending. These efforts reflect a broader corporate strategy to prioritize compliance as the primary vehicle for scaling its global fiat-to-crypto gateway.
