The acquisition brings a host of established software products—including Athena, Apollon, TrunCAD, nCAD, flixo, and Triviso—under the VisualLogix corporate umbrella. These tools serve as critical components for fabricators across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, complementing VisualLogix’s North American portfolio, which features industry-standard solutions like AutoSPRINK and Metal Building Software (MBS).
VisualLogix CEO Brett Zane stated that the merger is rooted in a shared commitment to mission-critical engineering tools. Beyond immediate product integration, the company plans to leverage its existing AI research to build a unified technological foundation across all newly acquired software. Dr. Stefan Gutberlet, CEO of refyne Group, noted that the partnership aims to accelerate innovation and provide customers with broader technical resources while maintaining existing support standards. The combined entity will focus on automating complex design-to-production workflows through a mix of deep domain expertise and advanced artificial intelligence.
