Membership in the index follows an objective, rules-based ranking process conducted by FTSE Russell, which evaluates companies based on total market capitalization and specific style attributes. By securing a spot in the index, TAT Technologies gains automatic inclusion in associated growth and value benchmarks, a move the company anticipates will broaden its institutional shareholder base and improve trading liquidity.
Igal Zamir, CEO and President of TAT, framed the development as a milestone for the organization. He noted that the transition to the benchmark index is expected to facilitate greater recognition within the global investment community. The company, which operates four units ranging from original equipment manufacturing for heat transfer solutions to jet engine component coating, now joins a diverse group of small-cap stocks tracked by institutional investors worldwide.
