GreenArrow Expands Pennsylvania Reach With ATS Acquisition

GreenArrow has finalized the acquisition of Atlantic Transportation Systems, a move designed to cement the buyer's control over critical traffic infrastructure in Central Pennsylvania. By absorbing the Carlisle-based firm, GreenArrow adds specialized expertise in intersection safety and signal maintenance to its growing national service network.

GreenArrow Expands Pennsylvania Reach With ATS Acquisition

The deal brings Atlantic Transportation Systems’ proprietary 300-point intersection inspection protocol under the GreenArrow umbrella. For ATS, known for managing complex roadway lighting and school zone safety systems, the merger provides the resources of a larger entity while maintaining a focus on regional municipal contracts. Lloyd Kuehn, CEO of GreenArrow, described the transaction as a hallmark of the company’s 'Land and Expand' growth strategy, aiming to standardize safety protocols across its Mid-Atlantic operations.

Sam Garman, who founded ATS, noted that the cultural alignment regarding safety and service quality made the transition a natural evolution for his team. GreenArrow, which currently operates coast-to-coast, intends to use the acquisition to bolster its portfolio of intelligent transportation systems and fiber optic installations. The company is continuing to seek additional electrical service firms to integrate into its infrastructure portfolio, signaling a broader consolidation trend within the regional traffic safety sector.
