Korean Air Partners With Freightos to Digitize Global Cargo Bookings

Freight forwarders can now access real-time capacity and direct eBooking for Korean Air shipments through the Freightos platform. Announced at Air Cargo Shanghai 2026, the integration connects the carrier's global network to the digital marketplace, prioritizing major trade lanes between North America, Europe, and Asia.

Korean Air Partners With Freightos to Digitize Global Cargo Bookings

The partnership marks a shift in Korean Air’s distribution strategy, positioning Freightos as its exclusive launch partner for third-party platform distribution. By integrating with the WebCargo network, the airline aims to streamline the booking process for its fleet of 166 aircraft, which includes 23 dedicated freighters. Forwarders operating in key North American and European hubs can now search and confirm shipments directly through their existing dashboards.

Jae Dong Eum, head of the cargo business division at Korean Air, described the move as a critical step toward maintaining a competitive edge through improved customer experience. For Freightos, the addition of a major transpacific carrier represents a significant expansion of its digital reach in the Asian market. Existing users can access these capabilities immediately, while new forwarders are being directed to the WebCargo portal to secure account access.
