STIIIZY Data Breach Settlement Offers Up to $7,500 in Compensation

A court-approved settlement is moving forward for thousands of individuals affected by a 2024 data breach at STIIIZY, Inc. The agreement provides financial restitution and credit monitoring services for customers whose private health or identity information was compromised when the company's servers were infiltrated last October.

STIIIZY Data Breach Settlement Offers Up to $7,500 in Compensation

The class action lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, stems from a security incident the company disclosed in January 2025. While STIIIZY denies any legal wrongdoing or liability, the proposed settlement creates a framework to compensate affected consumers. Eligible individuals include anyone whose personal or health information was accessed during the breach, with specific provisions for California residents.

Claimants have until September 10, 2026, to file for benefits. The settlement offers three primary tiers of relief: two years of credit monitoring and identity theft insurance, a pro-rata cash payment that requires no documentation, or reimbursement for documented losses up to $7,500. To receive any of these benefits, participants must submit a claim form via the official settlement website or by mail. Beyond financial payouts, the company has committed to implementing enhanced cybersecurity protocols to safeguard customer data.

Those who choose not to participate must submit a request for exclusion by August 26, 2026, to preserve their right to sue independently. The court is scheduled to hold a final approval hearing on October 19, 2026, to review the fairness of the deal, which includes proposed attorney fees capped at $737,500. Failure to submit a claim by the September deadline will result in a forfeiture of benefits while still barring the individual from future litigation against the company regarding this specific incident.
