Candidates have until July 24 to submit applications for the funding, which covers undergraduate and graduate degrees, professional certifications, and specialized industry training. Rather than focusing on past achievements, the selection process centers on a short essay where applicants detail their commitment to the architecture, engineering, construction, and owner-operated (AECO) sector and the specific impact they intend to make.
Peter Cannone, CEO of Newforma, described the program as an investment in professionals who are motivated to learn and dedicated to the evolution of the built environment. Porsha DeSimone, a member of the Newforma Women's Leadership Council, noted that the committee is looking for passion and curiosity in applicants rather than just academic pedigree. Winners will be notified in September, though the program excludes current Newforma employees and their immediate household members.
