Qblox and HPE Partner to Bridge Quantum and Supercomputing

Quantum control specialist Qblox is joining forces with HPE to integrate quantum processors directly into high-performance computing and AI infrastructure. The collaboration aims to move quantum technology out of isolated laboratory settings by creating the scalable, deterministic control layers required for modern, large-scale industrial and scientific workloads.

The partnership focuses on developing integrated testbeds that allow for hybrid algorithm co-design and system-level benchmarking. By pairing Qblox’s modular control hardware with HPE’s existing supercomputing frameworks, the companies intend to create a seamless interface between classical HPC systems and quantum processors. According to Qblox CEO Niels Bultink, the initiative centers on building robust control layers capable of sustaining high-precision operations at the scale necessary for commercial application.

Masoud Mohseni, Director of HPE Quantum, noted that this convergence is critical for accelerating the transition to practical quantum computing. The effort specifically targets interoperability, ensuring that quantum hardware can function reliably within established AI factory environments. This development marks a shift in the industry, prioritizing the infrastructure needed to support future, large-scale computational workflows that rely on both classical and quantum processing power.
