Sechrist joins the Atlanta-based company following a tenure at Zenoti, where he revamped go-to-market strategies. His career spans nearly 25 years in B2B SaaS, including leadership roles at Zenefits, Five9, and Eloqua. His background features a track record of three IPOs and five acquisition exits, a history that CEO Doug Johnson expects will translate into measurable category growth for the firm.
The appointment arrives as Consensus attempts to capitalize on a fundamental change in B2B purchasing, where buyers increasingly prefer independent research over traditional sales-led demos. Sechrist noted that the current buying journey has moved upstream, placing the platform at the center of how modern software revenue is generated. With the company currently serving 60% of the world’s largest software firms, including Salesforce and SAP, the leadership team is positioning this hire as a critical step ahead of their upcoming DEMOFEST event in London this October.
