The newly rebranded CAI PlanetTogether will remain available as a standalone product while receiving additional investment for AI, cloud development, and analytics. By folding these capabilities into its ERP and MES offerings, CAI aims to provide manufacturers with the ability to run complex production scenarios and optimize multi-plant capacity before committing to shop-floor changes.
Brent Pietrzak, CEO of CAI, noted that the integration responds to direct customer demand for more robust planning tools. Jim Cerra, founder of PlanetTogether, expressed confidence that the partnership will provide the necessary scale to accelerate the software's development. CAI intends to support the product roadmap through its dedicated R&D center, ensuring the technology continues to serve clients in sectors ranging from food and beverage to chemical processing.
