The certification process, overseen by independent third-party auditors, validates the company’s material sourcing and manufacturing methods against the SSI Supply Chain Traceability Standard. By securing this level of oversight, Canadian Solar aims to bolster industry-wide confidence in the origin and integrity of its solar components.
Colin Parkin, chief executive officer of Canadian Solar, described the certification as a milestone in the company’s effort to improve accountability. The company previously received ESG-related certifications in 2025 for these same locations, with the Suqian cell factory earning Silver and the Baotou ingot facility receiving Bronze. Canadian Solar is showcasing these advancements this week at the Intersolar Europe conference in Munich.
