Starting with a minimum investment threshold of €1, the integration allows users to manage both traditional financial portfolios and digital assets within a single platform. The service is powered by Bitpanda’s institutional infrastructure, which handles the underlying trading requirements. While the bank facilitates the connection, it emphasizes that crypto assets operate outside traditional deposit guarantee schemes, urging clients to assess the risks before participating.
Fibank CEO Nikola Bakalov noted that the integration reflects shifting customer financial habits, describing it as a move to evolve the mobile app into a broader digital financial hub. Nadeem Ladki, Global Head of Bitpanda Enterprise, highlighted that the partnership aims to bring mainstream digital asset access to the bank’s client base of over one million customers. The service remains subject to Bitpanda’s standard customer approval processes and regulatory terms.
