ATI Physical Therapy Debuts Real-Time Online Booking Nationwide

The launch marks a shift for the Downers Grove-based provider, which operates over 850 locations across 24 states. While digital booking has become standard in many medical sectors, outpatient physical therapy has historically relied on manual appointment requests followed by administrative callbacks. This platform aims to eliminate those intermediary steps, allowing patients to select specific time slots that align with their personal schedules.

CEO Sharon Vitti emphasized that the initiative is designed to remove existing barriers to care, framing accessibility as a core component of the patient experience. COO Chris Cox noted that by allowing real-time booking for both referred and Direct Access patients, the company intends to shorten the window between a provider's recommendation and the start of treatment. While the platform is live nationwide, eligibility remains subject to local state laws governing Direct Access, as well as specific insurance and provider requirements. Patients who do not qualify for the automated system will continue to be routed through standard support channels.
