E2 and Cleantech Leaders Roundtable Merge to Amplify Industry Influence

Under the terms of the agreement, the Cleantech Leaders Roundtable will operate as a dedicated program within E2, retaining its original identity as it approaches its tenth anniversary in 2027. CEO Ann Davlin and her staff will transition to the E2 team, bringing a specialized network of senior executives into a broader coalition that now represents over 13,000 business leaders. This integration provides CTLR members with expanded access to E2’s established research, policy resources, and national advocacy platform.

E2 Executive Director Bob Keefe described the move as a critical step for business leaders to reassert their influence on the clean economy. For the industry, the merger serves a tactical purpose: connecting the dealmaking and capital-intensive focus of the CTLR with the regulatory and legislative expertise of E2. Founders of CTLR, including Jigar Shah and Jacob Susman, noted that the energy sector has reached a stage where innovation and policy must operate in tandem to remain globally competitive. By removing the traditional silos between executive networking and policy lobbying, the combined organization intends to accelerate clean energy deployment and streamline domestic manufacturing efforts.
