Aeon and Mountain Horse Scale Drone Lethality for Mass Production

The collaboration pairs Mountain Horse’s award-winning warhead technology with Aeon’s MERC device, a high-voltage fuze that supports impact, proximity, and timed detonation. This modular architecture allows for rapid integration across diverse platforms, ranging from compact quadcopters to fixed-wing aircraft and interceptors. Reliability was confirmed during the Colorado trials, where the hardware functioned across several competitive drone designs.

As the Department of War pushes for high-volume drone output, the industry faces a growing scarcity of essential components. To meet this demand, Aeon has scaled its production capabilities at a new 140,000-square-foot facility, already delivering over 10,000 units to U.S. programs. The MERC fuze is fully NDAA-compliant, positioning the partnership as a primary source for manufacturers struggling to meet aggressive production schedules. By offering a flight-proven, all-in-one package, Aeon and Mountain Horse intend to shift the burden of lethality integration away from drone developers, allowing them to focus on platform airframes while ensuring the necessary munitions are available at scale.
