Performance Drone Works Taps Shawn Hall for Revenue Growth

Hall joins the firm after an executive tenure at BETA Technologies, where he managed growth across defense markets and helped navigate a $7.4 billion public offering. His background also includes leadership roles at BBA Aviation plc and a partnership at McKinsey & Company, where he directed the firm’s Aviation Service Line. PDW CEO James Slider credited Hall’s specialized experience at the intersection of airpower and technology as a critical asset for translating engineering concepts into fielded, mission-ready capabilities.

Before transitioning to the corporate sector, Hall spent 11 years in the U.S. Navy. His service included piloting F/A-18 Hornets and Super Hornets during the 2003 Iraq campaign and serving as a tactics instructor at TOPGUN. Hall holds degrees from the United States Military Academy, Northwestern University’s Kellogg School, and the Harvard Kennedy School. At PDW, he is tasked with aligning the company’s expansion with the specific requirements of operators at the tactical edge, focusing on rapid deployment and large-scale manufacturing.
