The acquisition, slated to close in November 2026, focuses on solving a persistent challenge in enterprise automation: performing tasks within applications that lack robust API access. While AI agents excel at reasoning, the addition of Robotiq.ai’s RPA technology provides the necessary mechanical leverage to execute workflows across banking, insurance, and telecommunications sectors.
Kalyan Kumar, President of HCLSoftware, stated that the company is shifting focus from experimental AI pilots toward secure, production-scale deployments. By incorporating the ISO-certified security and audit capabilities of the Robotiq.ai platform, HCL intends to offer a more governed framework for scaling agentic AI. Darko Jovišić, CEO and co-founder of Robotiq.ai, noted that the union allows their technology to move beyond individual task automation into fully orchestrated enterprise processes.
