Blitzy Secures Cambridge’s Largest Office Lease of 2026

The lease covers two floors at Building 200, a property managed by an affiliate of Alexandria Real Estate Equities. Blitzy, which recently raised $200 million in a funding round that valued the company at $1.4 billion, plans to move into the new space during the second quarter of 2027 following a major build-out. The expansion follows a period of rapid internal growth, as the firm quadrupled its headcount during the first half of 2026.

Brian Elliott, CEO and co-founder, described the decision as a strategic bet on the local AI ecosystem. The company, which specializes in autonomous enterprise software development, currently employs more than 200 people. Bryan Sparkes, a senior managing director at JLL who represented Blitzy in the transaction, noted that AI-focused firms now account for over 60% of new leasing volume in Cambridge, providing a vital spark for a local office market that has struggled for the past six years.
