PCI Technology Group Enters European Market at InnoTrans 2026

Under the hum of Berlin’s InnoTrans 2026, Chinese firm PCI Technology Group signaled its global ambitions by unveiling a suite of AI-driven rail inspection tools and securing a pivotal partnership with Germany’s RPS. The move marks a shift from regional supplier to an integrated international player in the rail infrastructure sector.

PCI Technology Group Enters European Market at InnoTrans 2026

The company’s newly launched portfolio targets a broad spectrum of transit, including high-speed and freight lines. Among the core technologies introduced are multispectral pantograph-catenary systems—which fuse ultraviolet, infrared, and visible-light sensing—alongside magnetic flux leakage detectors and ultrasonic rail break monitoring. These tools leverage large vision models and multimodal analytics to automate maintenance tasks that previously relied on manual labor.

To accelerate its foothold in Europe, PCI signed a strategic cooperation agreement with RPS, an established provider of railway power supply systems. This collaboration focuses on deploying obstacle detection, underfloor inspection robots, and catenary monitoring across both legacy European lines and new-build projects. PCI’s current footprint spans 150 lines across 48 cities globally, providing a foundation for its transition toward delivering full-stack smart rail services rather than discrete hardware components.
