Huawei Debuts AI Practice LAB to Bridge Industry Talent Gap

The AIPL framework prioritizes hands-on experience by integrating anonymized industry data and engineering tools directly into the classroom. According to Tao Jingwen, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the company is building a collaborative ecosystem that connects scientific research with practical learning. The solution is already operational at institutions like the Beijing Institute of Technology and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, supported by 12 baseline partners.

Alongside the lab launch, Huawei released the "AI+ Practical Teaching White Paper," which outlines a structured approach to education reform. The document introduces a framework based on a five-party ecosystem and a four-dimensional evaluation system to guide educators and industry leaders. By converting business scenarios into academic resources, Huawei intends to scale this model across multiple disciplines to foster a new generation of AI-ready professionals.
