Wolfbox Debuts Programmable Pixel Off-Road Lighting System

With 17,700 total lumens and integrated LED pixel displays, the new NomadPixel 5 allows off-roaders to project custom text, animations, and graphics directly from their vehicle. The system aims to bridge the gap between high-performance trail illumination and personalized vehicle expression for SUVs and pickup trucks.

Wolfbox Debuts Programmable Pixel Off-Road Lighting System

Wolfbox is positioning the NomadPixel 5 as a dual-purpose tool for overlanding enthusiasts. While traditional off-road lighting is limited to fixed beams, this system utilizes two five-inch housings to function as programmable displays. Through a dedicated mobile app, drivers can configure independent light outputs, choosing from preset graphics or creating custom designs and scrolling messages. The units offer four brightness settings and three animation speeds, allowing for a range of utility from campsite decoration to vehicle identification at gatherings.

Beyond aesthetics, the system serves as a functional safety feature in isolated environments. Drivers can broadcast visual signals like "SOS" to attract attention if they become separated from a group or face mechanical issues outside of mobile coverage. The hardware itself is built to withstand extreme environments, boasting an IP69K rating and operational capabilities in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 149°F. Constructed with ADC12 die-cast aluminum and UV-coated polycarbonate, the lights are engineered for long-term durability, supported by a five-year warranty and a 50,000-hour LED lifespan.

Pre-orders for the NomadPixel 5 are open through September 29 at an early-bird price of $499 using the code NPLIGHT100. Following the official launch on September 30, the system will retail for $639.
