Creditsafe Joins SBFE to Expand Small Business Credit Insights

A lack of reliable data has long hindered the evaluation of small enterprises, but a new partnership aims to bridge this gap. Creditsafe is joining the Small Business Financial Exchange ecosystem, integrating proprietary payment performance records into its risk management tools to help vendors and suppliers make more accurate credit decisions.

Creditsafe Joins SBFE to Expand Small Business Credit Insights

The collaboration grants Creditsafe access to the exchange's extensive repository of credit data, which is contributed by over 140 financial institutions. By embedding these insights into its existing business intelligence platform, Creditsafe will provide procurement teams and trade creditors with a clearer view of how small businesses manage their financial obligations. This move aligns the company with existing partners like Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, and Experian.

For small business owners, the integration promises to facilitate better access to trade credit. Matthew Debbage, CEO of Americas and Asia at Creditsafe, noted that the partnership allows for more informed risk assessment, enabling organizations to extend credit with greater confidence. SBFE Chief Executive Officer Elisabeth MacDonald emphasized that the expanded market reach supports the broader goal of fostering a transparent credit marketplace, ultimately helping companies invest and grow within the U.S. economy.
